PRESENTATION ON HEATING 2010 CONFERENCE IN SLOVAKIA
I had the privilege to give a lecture on the International Heating 2010 Conference in Slovakia on 4th March 2010. The presentation had the title of Numerical Simulation of Pressure Wave Propagation in Three Dimensional Pipe Networks.
In this presentation I showed the nature of pressure wave propagation and the results that can be attained by using CFD simulation. I presented the behaviour of pressure waves when reaching Tees in the pipe network, and also showed the interaction of pressure waves separated by the junctions in the network. I also highlighted the practical examples where such simulation gives valuable information on the behaviour of pressure waves.
